## What Is En Bloc HoLEP?

En Bloc HoLEP (En Bloc Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) is a minimally invasive surgical technique for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in which the entire prostatic adenoma is removed in a single piece using a holmium laser. Dr. Gómez Sancha developed and published the early apical release variant, which maximizes sphincter identification and minimizes incontinence risk. First presented at EAU Congress 2010, published 2019.
